Is it normal for my cat to poke his tongue out?

My cat trouble has been poking his tongue out he's been doing this since he was a baby he's around 10 months now i was just wondering if this is normal he's part bombay part domestic black cat he's also been drooling in his sleep warm drool he drinks water normally but sleeps more I understand he is getting older and that cats need 16 hours of sleep a day but he gets up eats goes to sleep goes potty goes back to sleep etc... is there something wrong with my pet am i doing something wrong?? I try to play with him but he's not interested much anymore
