Will iit chennai return my original gate score card if I want to join somewhere else instead.?

I got direct admission call from iit chennai. they have asked me to submit my original gate score card. but I want to join iit bombay. so if I submit my score card to chennai, then I clear iit bombay interview, will I get my score card back soon? I am really confused. I don't want to take risk also.
