On Bombay Stock Exchange site, it says there are 8020 scrips and 5069 listed companies,?

as of April end 2011. Can someone explain to me what the difference is between the scrips and listed companies please? The site is: http://www.bseindia.com/about/st_key/list_cap_raised2011.asp
