Are Bombay cats independent?

I've been thinking about getting a Bombay cat. Are they independent, or if left alone can they be destructive? Are they easy to train? I heard they are dog like. Do they get along well with other pets? Share your experience with this cat, I want to know as much as I can about them. Thanks for your time!
