Where would you go back packing ....?

Across the Willowa wilderness area. The Willowa mountain wilderness is some of the most pristine mountain country you can ever hope to see, Unbelievable wildlife that mostly have never laid eyes on man, and lakes so pure and Crystal clear you can see the bottoms of them, with fish galore. There is a string of lakes a good day's hike apart, up and over the Willowa mountains. It takes about 8 days to cross over the Willowa range, hiking to another lake each day, each morning catching your breakfast of lake trout and doing the same each evening for dinner. It is a breath taking, scenic and wildlife adventure but it is not for the faint of heart. The Willowa mountains are steep and rugged terrain but worth every strained footstep to see. There are very, very few who go in there, and the animals are very rarely hunted.
