I want to start a cleaning business, what do i do if i'm accused of stealing?

I want to start my own cleaning business where i go into other people's homes and clean. I used to work for one of these companies and thought it would be a good idea to start my own. I deal with elderly people where i work now and it got me to thinking. What if someone misplaces their jewelry or something and accuses me of stealing it since I am in their home. Even if i get insurance to cover potential damages like furniture or carpet, what can i do in this instance?
